Short History and Facts
Burdur School of Health was founded on 10 October 1996 within the body of Suleyman Demirel University and began education in 1998-1999 academic years with the Department of Nursing. Burdur School of Health was connected to Mehmet Akif Ersoy University on 17 March 2006 and was named as School of Health.
School of Health has only nursing department for now. The nursing training programs have been designed to direct and convey nursing care service which requires qualities and support; to educate health care workers and clients; to work as an effective member of health team; to develop human power in nursing field. The need for trained and perfect health care personnel in Turkey and the world supplies great advantage to our graduates in their professional life.
The Mehmet Akif Ersoy University School of Health is a place where students discover possibilities that change their lives and world. In connection and collaboration with the Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine Research Hospital and Burdur State Hospital, the School of Health is both connected to the past and focused on the future. We aspire to be in cooperation with the other universities over the world to research, teach, practice and learn in the health field.
